Thoughts, thoughts.
What are you thinking? What would you think of if you had something to think about? Imagine that tomorrow is the concert of the orchestra you’ve spent the last year waiting for: The Construction Orchestra.
So banana, eggs, toothpaste, in that order. And then concrete, cranes, trailers, in no particular order. I would be thinking of the sounds of construction of the coming day. The music. Amusing as much as it will become bothersome. The harmony of steel, wood, stone, and water; banging, sawing, grinding, evaporating.
Imagine being there live, the steel dust, wood dust, stone dust—water dust—the aroma of moving earth and–and-and you know what’s funny? The fact that there is no real answer to such question besides the follow up question, ‘what?’
But we know that is not true. Do you know what’s funny? Yes, I know many things that are funny but what you’re thinking of is probably not one of them.
Anyways, did you know that the weather is only actually good when it is a snow day? Think about it, when it is not a snow day, what can you say about the weather? “lovely day today, isn’t it?” “Yeah, I guess.”
On the eve of the construction concert that we had all been waiting for, the eve of breakfast, the eve of a snow day, the eve of, well, you know, the cancelled concert. When it’s all done. We still might never know who can use the makerspace.
